A SMALL EXCHANGE

Follow a letter.
Finish two words.

Each edge of the cube holds one letter shared by two faces. The same letter is printed on both sides of its piece.

  1. Pick two loose edges. Tap either half on the cube, or use the selected face’s word row. Purple frames marked A and B show your selection. On a phone, your selected letters stay in the bar at the bottom. Keys 1–6 turn to another face.
  2. Preview the words, then swap. The outlined letters show what will change, without revealing the new colors. Checking a preview costs nothing.
  3. Read each half separately. Green means the right slot; yellow means that letter belongs elsewhere in this word; gray means it is absent or all its copies are accounted for. Exact matches use copies first, just like Wordle. An edge locks only when both halves are green. Centers are given and never move.

You can swap any two loose edges, even across the cube. Your budget is par + 5. Every committed swap spends one, even if you undo it. A preview or a look around is free. Finish all six words before your swaps run out; restart for a fresh budget.

Drag to turn the cube, then let go. A quick flick carries it to the next face; a gentle drag settles on the nearest face. Grab it again to stop the motion. Dragging never selects a letter; tap again once the cube has settled to select one. Each word rests upright at a gentle angle, with two neighboring faces still visible. Press 0 for a wider whole-cube view.
